Prayer and Praise Newsletters

Dear Loved Ones,

Greetings to you in the matchless name of JESUS. We pray that all is well. We send this second e-mail to you to share this need for your prayers.

This is about our Orphans. We would like you to meet them and to love and pray for there situation.

This is Neneng. She is 12 years old. About 4 years ago Neneng’s mother fell sick and died. Her father even both were very young is also very ill. On the death bed of the mother she told Alice I am concerned for my daughter how she will be cared for. We told her do not worry we will find away. We took her into the home. Neneng went back to her father for 2 years. Her father has grown worse and there is no one to care for her. Now Neneng is back with us and is in school. She is in the 5th grade. She likes to read, ride a bike and sing and work around the house.

The next set of children are Lumie and Jomar (RR) Antud.  They also come from a home where there was death in the family. There Mother had always attended the Church in one of the Villages. Instead of both of these parent being young they are old. Lumie and RR are not real brother and sister. The old couple had adopted them for neither of the children had parents. But in the course of time the mother had fallen sick and was ill for about 3 months. We had taken her to a large hospital where she ended up dying. She also expressed to Alice the well being of the children. The Father after the Mother had died started living with another woman and so the children were left without a home they could really fit in. So many families in the Philippines are like that.

Children usually pay for parents bad decisions. But we praise the lord for allowing us to play a small part in their lives.

Lumie is now 17 years old has now graduated from High School and she is helping in the Academy. She likes to help with children and sing and play guitar. We are found of Lumie.

RR is 6 years old he is in the kindergarten. He is one of the children in the Academy. He is very helpful around the house. He likes to play with toys and run outside. He also likes to ride bicycle and he is very helpful and trustworthy. He is sort of a quite little gentleman. It don’t take long for you to be attached to this little guy.

The next two children are Joann and Zerwin. They came to us about 6 months ago. They are the first that came from the prison ministry. Both the parents are in Davao City in the maximum prison doing time for murder. These to have spent most of there lives in and around the prison. They are sweet kids with a lot of inside problems due to spending a life around inmates.

Joann is 13 years old and she is in the 2nd grade. She has a beautiful voice. She sings all the time even though she gets a lot of the English words wrong she still sings from the heart. Joann also likes to go to School and ride a bike. She is helpful at times but likes to tinker around. She is always happy. She will bless you with her spirit. She always calls Len, Daddy Len.

Her Brother Zerwin (Toto) is 11 years old and 100 % boy to the core. He is a little bit rebellious at time, but a good boy. He started off with an attitude he did not like correction, but after dealing with him different times he is really doing a lot better. Toto likes to pay outside mostly. He seems to like School as others ride a bike.

This is Marisa and Don Don. They are the second set of children from the prison. They have been with us for about 4 months. The Father is deceased and their Mother and Brother are both in for Massacre or multiple killings also.

Marisa is 13 years old and is a motherly type. She likes to be in charge and would be so if you would let her. She is in the 4th grade. When she first came she told her mother I do not want to go there. After about a week she changed her mind and told her Mom “I am sure glad I went there.” Marisa got saved and it is good to watch those tears run down her face as she worships the LORD. She likes top cook, clean and do things around the house.

Her brother Don Don is 11 years old. He also is in the 4th grade with his sister. Don Don is the tough guy with a soft heart. He puts on a good front but he has changed a lot since he has been here. He likes to run around outside and when work is to be done he is a good hider. He is the last one you will find. He also likes to play with toys and ride the bike.

Last but not least is Che meme and Bigboy.  They are our newest of children. They have been with us for about 3 months. There mother was in prison for Murder also. She is out of prison now due to lack of evidence but the children until now are still with us.

Che  meme is 11 years old. These are the 2 children we wrote about that they had gotten in a fight and Che meme had a kitchen knife to her brothers throat fixing to give it the slice. She is in the 5th grade. She likes to play mostly and she likes to mingle with other kids a lot.

Her brother Bigboy is a bigman in a little body. He reminds me of that. He is in the 2nd grade. He is a good boy most of the time. He likes to climb trees, as all the others ride bike and try to escape chores. He is usually easy to find and easy to correct.

This is our children in the orphanage. Our desire is to build them a better house and larger one to accommodate housing for more children to come. We are also in need of additional land and equipment to help as the ministry grows. If you are interested in helping in any of the areas feel free to enquire with us. We ask that you pray for these children and many others like them with no place to go but the streets and find no one to turn to for guidance.

Until the next update we say may GOD’S warmest blessing be on you as you live this day in HIM.
